Natascha Wright – real name Natascha Rekelhoff – was born on July 18, 1975, in a small South American village near Suriname, to an African mother and a Dutch father. Still a teenager, she moved with her family to the Netherlands, where she could cultivate her musical talent with greater freedom.
At just 16, she won a prestigious competition at the Holland Casino Scheveningen Festival and caught the attention of producer John de Mol Senior, who helped her secure her first record deal. In 1992, she enrolled in the Light Music Academy in Hilversum, continuing a rigorous education.

In 1994 she moved to Germany and one of her first songs topped the Canadian charts. Here she met  Haddaway, with whom she toured the world for four years. This was followed by successful collaborations, such as those with  DJ Bobo (with the songs “Love is the Price” and “Freedom”) and the attention of the famous producer Frank Farian.

It was Farian himself, the creator of international projects like Boney M and No Mercy, who involved her in 2000 as the female voice of La Bouche, the dance group that had already conquered the charts with legendary songs like Be My Lover and Sweet Dreams. With La Bouche feat. Natascha Wright, the singles “All I Want” and “In Your Life” were released, keeping the streak of international success alive.

In parallel, Natascha continued to experiment: she released three solo albums (Free to Live It, 2004; Let’s Fly High in the Sky, 2008; Ron Zacapa Soul Vol.1, 2012) e nel 2018 l’EP J’adore La Bouche, a celebration of the songs that marked her career) and collaborated with Alfred McCrary, and participated in soul, neo-soul, and jazz projects.

Today, Natascha brings La Bouche‘s music to stages all over the world alongside U.S.A. rapper Joe Thompson. Her soulful voice and the energy of the Eurodance sound create elegant and engaging shows, capable of making different generations dance and sing.
